In a 30-minute consultation, we can assess your skin and acne stage. This assessment is essential in determining the number of sessions and program cost.

The 30-minute consultation fee is $60, but if you proceed, that $60 will be put toward your treatment cost. Consultation fees are due at the time of booking.

In many cases, visible improvement is seen in 2 to 6 weeks. It’s very important for patients to be aware of this time frame and not to be discouraged if results are not instant.

No foods have been scientifically proven to cause acne. However, it’s important to eat a balanced diet, low in processed sugars, for overall skin health.

Stress does not directly cause acne, but it can make acne worse. Studies have shown that wounds, including acne, heal slower when a person is under stress.

Regardless of the common myth, acne is not caused by dirt or surface skin oils. Excessive washing can actually worsen acne and cause the skin to become irritated. Washing your face twice a day with a gentle cleanser is recommended alongside your customized acne therapies.

It is important to use non-comedogenic skin care products as they have been formulated not to cause or worsen acne. Your acne specialist can provide recommendations on cleansers and moisturizers.

When a follicle (your pore) becomes blocked, it behaves as a closed culture system from which bacteria cannot escape. From this point on, the inflammatory response starts. To prevent reassuring inflammation, extractions are necessary to empty pores so bacteria have no place to multiply.
